What is this novel-writing month thing? Sounds interesting. Are you majoring in creative writing?

I hope you and your cats get better soon!

National Novel Writing Month is a challenge to write 50,000 words (a novel) starting Nov. 1st and ending at the end of the month. They've got a website where you can sign up.

I'm graduating in December with a B.A. in Creative Writing, but I've got to make it through a senior project first- I have to have 50 or so decently edited pages of a novel by then.

Man - I should not have looked up that Web site; I stayed up 'til almost 2:00 a.m. laughing my head off at the anime/manga tropes, and I didn't even get through all the interesting ones!

Anyway, that sounds like a really intriguing idea. I'd love to try it if it wasn't for the really time-consuming senior seminar I'm taking right now. Still, I started a story today just for fun; I doubt I'll be able to make the 50,000 word goal, but I'll see what I can do in between Shakespeare overload. ^^;

I'm sure that the project will really help with your school assignment, too! I can't think of a better way to do it. I wish you luck; I'm graduating in December, too (at least if I can manage to pass this seminar), though just in regular old English. Have fun with your project, sounds like it'll be interesting!
