Summary: Written for the following prompt by quickreaver over at ohsam: Dick has won. Leviathan have insinuated themselves into our world, and we are becoming fat, lazy cattle. But Our Boys know better, of course. There's still a decent supply of untainted canned food product -- which Dean tolerates far better than Sammy -- but Sam needs his fresh

I'm playing with the idea of expanding it. I love post-apocalyptic!boys and I missed the bandwagon the last time that was a viable AU. Plus, he may not be at 100%,but Sam's still kickin'. He's grumpy that I didn't include much of his side in this story. :/

You should rectify that

You know, I thought about it, and I have no idea when I'll do it because I have OTHER STUFF OMG to do (your prompt, and a half-finished For Keeps installment, and you know, my day job) but I think, in the event I write anymore of this, it'll be Sam's perspective of their arrival.

I tried to justify it to Sam by pointing out that he spent a big chunk of the story either unconscious or delusional. I tried.

:D I was worried that there would be too much exposition. It's so much fun to create dystopias though. For my feminism in sci-fi class a bazillion years ago, we had to create one for our finals, and mine was very Mad Max meets The Handmaid's Tale. That class broke me

Oh yes, Dean's definitely waiting on Sam. He doesn't currently think of himself as "the man with the plan" but really, he has one. It's just not the plan everyone else thinks he has. And if Sam ever figures it out, well, there will be words.
