You know, maybe had I read the books I would be more enthused about the movie, but standing on its own merits it's pedantic at best. It tosses around some good ideas, amazing effects, and a great performance by Nicole Kidman, but at the end of the day the movie doesn't come together.

Idea train. Money. KABOOM.
