The days are getting shorter and I feel like I'm wasting time.

Hey man, I hear things have been a big hectic over there. I got a session of my LARP coming up on Saturday if you want to get away, meet some new people, lose yourself in a new game for a while. Cheers!

Yeah, hectic's not the word. But I think I'm good on the LARP. Thanks for the invite though!

[Obsfucatory retort containing witty references to Wilde, Tom Robbins, and something I did last Tuesday.]
[Also Tank Girl, can't leave out Tank Girl.]

Mostly I think "God grinds the axes he intends to use." It's not very comforting imagining being groped by some sweaty-handed Judeo-Christian big bearded man in a robe and sandals, not to mention we'd likely be used to cut down the infidels.....but we have hope we're being prepared for higher things, no?

I wish we were born knowing how much of the work we do is superfluous and how much is merely part of life and paying dues. Until that happens, I'll be sitting in my silent, sterile office watching the rains bounce off skyscrapers and rooting for you. We're all in this mess together.

While the idea of being manhandled by a malevolent (or is He benevolent now? I forget) God is both exhilarating and, at the same time disturbing, being covered in blood suits me just fine.

I appreciate the cheers, however far they are from me. Moreover, I just appreciate the sentiment - remind me the next time I see you to give you a huge hug. You know, if you're cool with it. I know that you know exactly how I'm feeling right now. Well, maybe not exactly, but I'm sure you've been through this same kinda crap too.
