I took a walk around my hometown of Menomonee Falls, WI today. I walked past my old elementary school, the Chinese restaurant where I got my first real job, the falls that the town is named for, the building where my friends and I shot one of our movies in High School, the Bugline Recreational Trail and through the downtown shopping district

Friday was the biggest shopping day of the year so far and people were out before the birds, so give this home town a break. People were probably napping after their early hours of chaos at the stores...

That's the point. People were out shopping rather than spending time with each other on this holiday. Studies also show that it is not actually the biggest shopping day of the year most of the time, but only the biggest hyped shopping day of the year.
