Thanks! I still have no idea what I'm doing, and didn't even know this thing existed until last week.

Maybe ADD has nothing to do with it. There are white noise people and there are people distracted by white noise. I ended up starting with that comment because my kids were watching tv in the other room and I couldn't tune it out.

Don't get me wrong, I looooove TV. TV becomes my master if I have the right pile of unwatched Netflix in hand!

TVs can turn me into a zombie. If I ever go over to a friend's house and have to sit down right in front of a tv that's on and be expected to keep up a conversation, I'm toast. That never goes well for me - my head turns toward the screen and I'm locked in.
