after observing Yom Kippur, fast and no work along with the task of humbling my soul, i find myself at a loss as to why i even bothered ... all i found in me was a tremendous desire to find a religion i could follow the steps ... i'm -really- good at following steps and procedures ... and receive salvation/forgiveness/eternal life with God and an ( Read more... )

So were many of the Jews...that's why when some of them cried out for his death and they shouted that his blood be upon them. Even though that was His plan all along...

umm...His plan to work around the mistake we oh-so-humble [and downright proud of it] legalists always seem to make ... "follow the rules, to the letter, and you can ignore what was meant by the rule as long as you, "follow the rules, to the letter..." ... ! " ... not what He would have us do in the first place ... what He knew we would do ...
i believe He would rather have us believe Him, trust Him, do as He says ... Abraham did, and i wonder if it was a daily/hourly choice for him also?
