I've been accorded a special honor (I think). Lt. Masters has pulled me from "The Pit" as we call it down in Engineering and I'm going to start training to take over care of the Warp Core. I'm pretty excited about it ( Read more... )

If you need any -- time, let me know and I'll do what I can to acquiesce the request.

What kind of songs do you know? Anything good?

((OOC: ♥ I want to talk to you about something. :o It's kind of small and insignificant, but...:3 *shrug*))

I've been in the mood for the classics, lately. Led Zeppelin, maybe.

((OOC: Not at all! :O I'm just wondering about Tarsus IV and backstory and stuff like that. 8D))

Led Zeppelin I have up the wazoo. You might also like Boston and Black Sabbath too.

((OOC: I checked in "The Star Trek Encyclopedia", and since Riley was only in two episodes of the series, there's not a lot to go on. As far as Tarsus IV goes, Kirk is supposed to have been there too and although it's not outright stated, it sounds like George and Wynona died there, which obviously didn't happen in the reboot. To my way of thinking, colonial expansion might have been slowed down by the Kelvin incident and as a result, the Rileys stayed on Earth and in the service. I do have an idea of how to work Kodos in if we REALLY want to wound Kevin for life, lol, but I'm flexible either way. Also, the actor who originally played him. Bruce Hyde, was a really good musician so I wanted to bring some of that into play.))

You know it. *smirks* And I enjoy playing, so it's not exactly a chore or anything.

You play the guitar? I play the balalaika, somewhat similar to a guitar. We should play together some time.

I play the piano moderately well, if you're ever looking for someone to play with. Guitar I am hopeless on, but I know my way around keys pretty well.

Woo hoo! I can pull out my book of piano duets again, mwaahaahaa. And I'm not exactly fantastic on the ol' 6 string, but I get by.

That could be fun! My mother taught me how to play, and I continued lessons until I entered the Academy, so I haven't done anything FORMAL in the past few years, but I still know what I'm doing :)

Nice! I took lessons for 13 years, so between the two of us, we ought to be all right.

Ooh, please do bring your guitar down sometime! I can't provide much in the way of a musical accompaniment, but I love to have an excuse to do some dancing.
