Go green with an e-mail signature...

If you work in an office setting, chances are, you have a co-worker that feels the need to print every e-mail they receive.  Today, I added the following to my signature:

þ PLEASE CONSIDER THE ENVIRONMENT BEFORE PRINTING THIS EMAIL

I never print emails. As a matter of fact, people actually think I'm wierd because I read the scientific journals as PDFs on my computer screen, instead of printing them out (the older profs like to print them out; something about feeling the "hard copy" in your hands, or something like that). But I just feel fine with reading them all on the screen, only printing them out if I need them for additional research or other things.

Then again, I am blessed with a very large, 24" LCD display, so that might make it a tad easier to read on the monitor,... ;-)

YES! I have 2 coworkers that do that! It's SO MADDENING! They are both old, and I think they just aren't used to the idea of email. One does it even with one-sentence-long emails! ARGH. I almost said something once but it's not really my place. I don't think adding that to my signature would make a difference though. Those kind of people aren't thinking/caring about the environment anyway.
