my fam gets coconuts every year at xmas and every year we take out the electrical drill to get the straw in than once we've drank the juice, we use the ban saw or a chisel and hammer to get them open to eat the inside. its a pretty sweet operation and a challenge every year. those things are tuff!

i have just arrive in costa rica. and you have just left!! so far i´ve played crib and gone for a nice walk with a sri lankan, chated with an american whose been living in mexico for 38 years, and some eaten rice and beans.
and about those coconuts: once to celebrate summer some kids i knew in high school got a coconut and tried to get it open for hours outside of a closed mall in langley. we even had one person run home and get a hammer and nail to punch it open. we eventually got it open and it was dry inside! ai yai yai!

qualitative research methods can potentially be amazing - i took one last year, specifically feminist qualitative research methods, that was SO good. i can't vouch for quantitative research methods, though, because everyone in my program is ridiculously anti-quantitative research.
