I hear more and more about Obama's approval rating going down. Sure, it's still high for a president, and I understand that the approval between a candidate and acting president are far different, but part of me doesn't understand why

Ah well, I think people put Obama on too high a pedestal when he ran for president. Good or bad, he alone can't fix the economy in just his first few months.

Hell, there's a school in PG County. MD that wants to name a school after him already. I don't know if I'd want to name anything after a sitting president because you never know what'll happen but I guess it's people who treat him more like the Second Coming of Christ.

He seems to have been a pretty good president so far but he does have over three more years left (probably 7 considering the Republicans don't seem to have any strong candidate to field against him). Has he been perfect? No, but what politician is? I'm pretty sure the recession started under Bush's presidency anyway so Obama took the office at a less than stellar time in our country so that sucks for him. I just hope we won't need another World War to stimulate the economy
