Beck

A graduation present that Nyssa gave me was a ticket to see Beck last night. It was really freaking good. The only problem was the opening band, Le Tigre. Good god, they were terrible. But then Beck was on and it made up for it. Then Nyssa bought me two Beck cds after the concert ended, so how cool is that. I haven't bought a cd in at least a month

isn't le tigre a lesbian-rock band... as in they're all lesbians and that's what they like to sing about? the one w/ the female lead singer, who, for some reason, has a mustache anyway? must have been fun.

but at least you got to see beck.

this is how they began every song. then one of them would play awful power chords, one would hit the play button on the recorded beats machine, and the other would scream out some boring lyrics. sometimes, they wouldn't even pretend that they could play music, hit the play key and just dance for the bad song that they had recorded earlier. i assume they did record it, but for all we know it was a 2 year old hopped up on sugar going to town on a guitar with a hammer that had played the music that had been recorded. either way, my ears were bleeding with hate when they finally got the hell of the stage.
