Kuranda

Ok, Kuranda is nice.  You should visit, if you are in the neighborhood.  It's a small village that started during the Australian gold rush, about 30 kilometers from cairns in the mountains.  It's small, and it's touristy, but it's a nice change from the city and you are truly in the middle of a tropical rainforest
