a journey through luke

tonight @ the point God really pressed in my heart to reposition my life as an apprentice of rabbi Jesus. Often times I find myself teaching, but I can not forget that I am never not an apprentice. I must live a life at the feet of the master teacher. The way I am going to experience this immersion in the teachings of Jesus is to navigate through ( Read more... )

I am excited to see what God has in store for all this and can't wait to just be filled with his teachings. I just have to apply myself to full get out of it what I need to and this will definitly help me out. Thanks so much and by the way the teaching last night was absolutly amazing and I really needed to hear it. You always seem to teach on things that are prevelent in our lives. It's awesome to see God working in the ways that he does!

kqueen.

the point shook up my world, Christ is so fulfilling. what got me the most was after he read the scroll from Isaiah, sat down, and then everyone's eyes were upon him, intently. i wonder if it had been anyone else reading the words if it would have had an impact. i think not at all, because with anyone else, the words were just words, spoken by God and of truth, but when Christ read them, they were True words.

no one else can read that passage, saying "me" and mean it, but Christ can. he spoke absolute truth, straight from the mouth of God.

i think thats what gets us, that makes us stare. Gods truth.

keep on, brother, its going far...

i think you are right - what a coinidence that isa 61 was the reading for the day and Jesus was like reading his biography that was written over 500 years before that date. True words. the Amen. dig in luke con los amigos.

Im there! with an open heart-LETS DO IT :-)
I have to say lately ive felt really disconnected and distant- its not so great- but at the same time i admit its me- Im the one not giving my all to christ and not making that time...What you said just blew me away "Why would you want to spend all eternity with the one you wont make time for on earth"-I dont want that to apply to me... thats all changing right NOW...I love jesus christ with all my heart-
Kevin- i hope you know how much God speaks through you- its amazing- You are being used in so many ways and that is just HUGE- What a blessing you are to this church and to so many lives. including mine- I thank God for you...

I can't wait to dive back into Luke again!!! I really need to streanghten even more the Bible knowledge and heart I already have. Please keep me in your prayers ya'll!!! I know that I am meant for this Phillie mission trip but it feels like satan is throwing everything he can in my way to keep me from going!!! and we're really talking everything! from the money to the forms to my procrastination to issues with leaders to issues with grow groups and now arguements w/ my mom over it...and i'm sure it's not done yet! All I know is that if i push past the devils attackes now there will be more in Phillie and God will help me through those as well. I know God has got something great planned for me on this trip and I'm sure there's some things He wants to teahc me in Luke!

sometimes it's a test, sometimes a trial, and sometimes a temptation. Look for what God may want to teach you in all of your situations as well as through the book of Luke. sit at his feet and open you heart.
