44Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46You did not put oil on my head, ( Read more... )

Hey kevin thats awesome scripture. When ever you are in doubt that you are forgiven its always the devil saying how you are a failure or something to that effect like you said in one of the prayer times. Just remember that though the devil gives you names so does God. When you get the chance seek God and ask him what names he gives you. When the devil tries to put you down say No! and say a name that God gave you. This i have found gave me great strength to resist the temptations.

2Timothy : 11. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness.

man, cannot wait to be able to label myself the ''woman'' on this one. we have to strive for excellence. if anything is to get done, we must pray, and trust that He's hearing us out, then setting it into action. just going out and living it everyday. still following the ministry of the towel, are you kevin? i know i stray from it sometimes, but the important thing is that i get myself right back on track when i'm not possessing what im professing. live it, bro. learn love.

that is the same thing i took from it. there is definitely a tug-of-war between the two attitudes. for example, we (like 20 of us) were at a kid's house this past saturday and some kids turned on some pornography in the main room. so me and a few other Christian friends stayed in another room listening to music and what not. and my thoughts were torn between judging them and then at another time really feeling totally sorry for them.

and also. and based on the amount of my own sins, i know which one i ought to be. the woman on the floor. but sometimes i'm more of a simon.

i studied luke in bible quizzing a long time ago. but that was just knowledge based. it is taking a whole new meaning now.

That's a pretty tough pill to swallow sometimes. I know for me, I sometimes catch myself passing rash judgements on people. Of course when that happens, God kinda tap me...and say "ahem, who gave you the right to judge?" Then, once again, I'll step down from my self-appointed place of judgement and let the love of Christ spill over and through me. I believe there is a little of Simon in all of us. We're human, finite beings who are not perfect. But as we strive for our Heavenly goal, if we keep our minds and hearts devoted on Christ, He will change our attitudes to be in sync with Him. :-)

In Christ,
Alysha M.
