Especially when you have to try and focus on something that is having all of its light blocked.

hmm ok..so your pic turned out way better than my mine :p although i feel that i could have achieved something similar with the fz30. also, i don't have a tripod.

My thoughts exactly. I had a hard time even focusing on it with my binoculars! Not to mention the binoculars bumping up against my glasses. It was a little cumbersome.
