hmm.... interesting rocks. but there's this really distict line near the top... is it one of those 'the area got flooded over and this is how we use rocks to tell time' kinda thing?

er. is that what they teach you in pilot school?

the guide said the rock formations were a result of volcanic activity in the area, so maybe it's the layers of soil that got compressed and pushed up? haha, I'm totally smoking. here's a closer look if you want, anyway: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kevlars/90738069/
