Our second day in America, we woke up fairly early (due to the time difference) and were downstairs for breakfast at 8am. The 'English Breakfast' tea was very different to what we're used to - I didn't finish mine

Tickets were sold out to go inside? How annoying! Not like it's something NEW for people to see -- and it wasn't even the peak of tourist season, I wouldn't think? (you went in late November, right?)
It was annoying in England when we drove 4 hours to see a castle that was closed that day because some royalty was there (I forget who it was, I'm sure I wrote it down). We had looked at their website that morning but apparently they don't update with such announcements or it was a spur of the moment thing!
Oh! And the quote -- sounds like a certain annoying Togruta Padawan from the Clone Wars! (I still don't like poor Ahsoka. lol) Your pictures came out gorgeous. I guess you don't see sky that blue very much at home, eh?
Finally! They do happen sometimes! I'm going to have to have a blogging spree again to catch up. Maybe I should back date them so it looks like I haven't just been rubbish?!
Last week of November, you are correct, was there for thanksgiving.
That is annoying, I don't think the English are the best at updating websites (with me as an example!)
The quote isn't the reply I'm looking for, but it's such a generic line that answer works too!
And I agree, great photos. We have blue sky sometimes, but rarely. We had a great week there.
Too bad you are nowhere year South Florida or I would have dropped everything to say hello.
I can see you are in DC. I've been there only once but it left a great impression on me. No matter how cinical I get about our political bullshit here in the States there is something about DC that makes me feel patriotic and hopefull.
you have the monuments labeled correctly :-) but when it comes to the capitol building, it's spelled with an "o" instead of an "a", like it usually is. something's gotta be different, right?!
yay, looking forward to more posts, even though i know what happens ;-)
I'm surprised by all that open space in a major city, it almost looks like a giant park full of lovely buildings and statues but that's probably what happens when you're building on a large continent rather than a densely-packed island, right? :)
