I'm playing catch-up this week and posting a lot of links to stories that came out while the weekly was on hiatus.

Summary: What happens when realizations are made and actions taken.
KEW note: Lovely, lovely fluff. Whee!
"Close to Home" by fourth_rose
[Bones, Booth/Brennan, set in late season 6, ~21,000 words]
Summary: How are you supposed to let go of the past when the past won't let go of you?
KEW note: This fic offers a fantastic case-related and emotional provocation for Booth and Brennan getting together rolled into one. I'm posting this under completed stories because Part 1, the arc I was closely following, is done and dusted. The sequel-ish Part 2 starts here.

KEW note: I always love when fic points out to me things about characters that I've never realized before. I'm all the more impressed that such a creative, AU fic was able to do so.

Author's Summary: "The thing that sticks a hook in McGee's gaping mouth in the midst of the unannounced programming is that Tony doesn't seem surprised.
KEW note: Chapter 31 added. I'm sad to see the end of this tour de force.

Summary: "Five years ago, when he first met her, he would never have guessed she would be the kind of person who ever fell flat in anything." Tony and Ziva grapple with the change in the air.
KEW Note: Pick of the week. So well-written, excellent character observations about change throughout the years, and the perfect amount of angst.
"Timing in Everything" by Sashile (sashile) *UPDATED
[PG-13, team, established Tony/Ziva, sequel to "Fallen Angels"]
Summary: An aircraft carrier off Bahrain is attacked during a Family Weekend and training exercise with the Israeli navy. While Ziva investigates Israel's involvement, Gibbs and Abby are called to help DiNozzo figure out what happened.
KEW note: Chapter 4 added.
"The Impractical Heart" by Pough *UPDATED
[PG-13, Tony-centric]
Author's Summary: When a tiny virus sweeps through Tony's body, leaving catastrophic results, his team remains vigilant.
KEW note: Another catch-up, but just wanted to make sure everyone had read chapter 17 (the pentultimate chapter!). This fic continues to amaze and astonish. I'll be sorry when it ends.
