That was wonderful. I like the way it used a strange perspective (the onlooker) and always had the base (the apple tree).

The descriptions were lovely. It made me smile. :)

Ohhhh. I like the cycle thing. It makes you wonder what might've happened. (Or am I completely on the wrong track?) But anyway, it's how I read it, and I liked it! :D

Then the onlooker sighed, and got up. The new fruits would ripen, and fall off the trees, rot and the entire cycle would start over again. It was a matter of time before yet new apples would grow after these, just like only time would be the thing to measure the quality of the harvest with.

So true... Nice parallelism with the apple tree:)
