And right now, there was the searing hot burn at the back of his eyes, which was ridiculous because Paul didn't cry.

I think you captured something both sad and special in that one line. It's beautiful in its simplicity and directness, but the pain it carried -- gosh.

Wonderful job, hon.

I would quote the very same line. ^^

Good job, girl! Although it is so sad... my heart breaks a little after reading it.

It broke mine a little writing it, especially after Saturday Morning which truly IS a lot happier and more hopeful. But yeah, all things must pass *sigh*

Thanks for leaving a comment! :D

Originally, I wanted to end it different (just didn't know how to). I wrote the "which was ridiculous, because Paul..." and then didn't know how to continue. I think I must've tried at least 10 different outcomes, but none of them felt RIGHT. Then I typed this, and finally... :P

Thank you for your comment ^^

I really liked the last line.

And, I must say from reading about that time, Linda had a bad time of it. Amazing that she stuck with him.

I suppose Linda is pretty amazing, anyway. After all, Paul McCartney IS one of the most famous people in the world, and still they stuck together until dead did them part. The woman is admirable, really.

When I read this I thought it was so sad... and did not leave a comment;) But I really enjoyed it, even the sadness, only it was not a good day, so I am back now. Some great lines in that.
