It's late, but Cuthbert's not asleep.
He's sitting at his desk, writing in a slim, leatherbound notebook.
Well, trying to write is probably more accurate.

This is proving harder than he thought it would.

A moment later, Susan slips in, moving quietly-- and then pauses when she sees that he's awake.
"I'd thought ye'd be asleep." Soft concern shows clearly.

He knows how it must have been, but it's either that or just come out and say who have you talked to, who knows, and who do we have still to tell?
