[OOC] Application

Character: Aqua
Series: Kingdom Hearts
Version: Post Secret Ending
Age: 18ish?
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight

Appearance:

Latin for "water", Aqua's name suits her well with her layered, shoulder length blue hair and matching blue eyes. She's slim and fit, with a relatively fair skin tone. She has the posture almost of a dancer, standing straight and tall. Her movements are very graceful and feminine, even when in battle. She wears a dark blue, high necked, halter top with a laced corset-like item around her middle. She wears a pair of tight, black shorts, black thigh high socks/tights and armoured, high heeled boots. A partial blue skirt hangs on each hip, along with fabric ties that drape from the front, tied into bows at the sides then a knot at the back. Her arms are covered by unattached sleeves, with a glove on each hand, and a piece of armour on each forearm. One one summoned her armour, but the armour was last seen in Xemnas' possession along with her keyblade.

Personality:

Aqua foremost comes across as being rather reserved. While she does not exactly hide her emotions, her smiles are small and she is generally slow to anger, except when the safety of her friends are involved. Her friends mean everything to her and she will do anything she can to protect them.

She's very polite and respectful to those she meets. Aqua holds herself with a great deal of composure, coming across as being quite mature and responsible. She takes her duty as a Keyblade Master very seriously, to the point Ven accuses her of it going to her head, however really Aqua is quite modest, only referring to herself as Master at the end. This strong-willed young lady is someone you can depend on and someone who will do everything she can to keep her promises.

She acts rather like a sister to Ven and Terra without really trying and seems to have a natural mothering instinct. Around children her caring and gentle disposition especially comes to light. When speaking to someone young, she'll lower herself to their level without thought and when Ven came to the Land of Departure and fell unconscious, she stayed by his side. Aqua also doesn't hesitate to show small gestures of affection, such as a comforting hand on a shoulder, or a playful hair ruffle.

Though she tends to be serious, Aqua does still laugh and joke around, especially with her friends. She has very strong faith in her beliefs, particularly in that of friendship and love.

One thing that might have affected her, however, is the long time she's been trapped in the Realm of Darkness on her own. We're not sure how exactly it affected her, but I would assume she was rather lonely and the feeling of hopelessness certainly did hit her once and she nearly gave up.

Abilities/Weaponry/Strengths:

Being a Keyblade Master, Aqua, rather obviously, has a keyblade. However, it's not her own she currently has, but rather her Master's keyblade. She used her own (as Rainfell) to send her armor and Terra back to the Realm of Light. She does have, however, her remaining keychains, which when attached to a keyblade will change it's appearance and strengths. She will, most likely, attach her Wayfinder to it to be able to use Brightcrest. A keyblade is able to lock and unlock any lock and is most effective against Heartless, Nobodies and Unversed.

Her Wayfinder is also worth noting. Aqua created three of them and cast a spell on them that would create something called a dimension-link between anyone who they gained a strong connection through. That d-link can then be used to change their command style, gaining abilities that the person in question would have.

Aqua's strength is in magic use, able to use a barrier ability with no use of her MP. Apart from the spell she cast on the wayfinders, she also cast a protection spell on a little girl she met named Kairi. She also seems to have a strong sense of the dark and light in people. Aqua also has strong light. Her long time in the Realm of Darkness did not seem to mark her with darkness.

She's able to use a large assortment of magic, including all the various aero, blizzard, fire, blah and lightning spells. Along with cures, esuna, gravity, bind etc. spells. While her strength is magic, she does have quite a few attacks (commands) that she can use. She then has several command styles that she can trigger using the right type of spell or attack. Spellweaver and Ghost Drive are her specifically hers. She also can use Sky Climber, Blade Charge and various elemental ones.

And lastly, she can do something called a shotlock, which is a special attack, essentially. Bubble Blaster, Prism Rain and Light Bloom are her own, but she also can use Thunderstorm, Absolute Zero, Bio Barrage, Ragnarock, Photon Charge, Lightning Ray, Chaos Snake, Flame Salvo and Meteor Shower

She also, apparently, has a bit of skill at arts/crafts given she made those rather awesome looking good luck charms!

In terms of character, Aqua is responsible and dependable. She almost never panics during a tough situation, staying very level headed, unlike her two friends. She's also a very caring person and makes friends easily.

Weaknesses:

Aqua's strength is in magic, thus like most magically inclined people, she lacks a bit when it comes to physical strength and defense. Strong physical attacks can give her a lot of trouble and she could certainly be overpowered if her magical based defenses can be surpassed. Also, as a spell caster, she does have to stop for a moment to cast spells.

While her friends are one of her greatest strengths, they are also, quite possibly, her greatest weakness. She will not hesitate to sacrifice herself to save either of them, no matter what the cost.

She also is very tied to her duty. Like all heros, it's nearly impossible for her to ignore a cry for help. She will always run in to try to save the day, which could be taken advantage of.

History:

How or why she came to the Land of Departure to become a Keyblade Master was, unfortunately, not revealed, but clearly Aqua and Terra had been there for sometime, training with their Master, Eraqus.

Then, one day, another Keyblade Master called Xehanort arrived with a strange boy called Ventus. His heart injured, he was left by Xehanort in Eraqus' care and became an apprentence.

Finally, the day came for Terra and Aqua to take the Mark of Mastery exam. Aqua was felt to have what it took to be a master, but Terra still could not reign in his darkness, thus did not pass. Eraqus then shared with Aqua some secrets she would become privy to as a Master, particularly concerning the Land of Departure.

Not long after the exam, Eraqus received a communication with Yen Sid, that the princesses of heart were in danger from a foe that had appeared called the Unversed. Aqua and Terra were ordered to go out to other worlds to find, and defeat the Unversed as well as to find Master Xehanort.

Before she left, Eraqus asked Aqua to also keep an eye on Terra and to find and send home Ven, who had taken off after Terra.

Going from world to world, she was mostly one step behind her friends, but finally bumped into Ven in the Enchanted Domain. She attempted to ask him to go home, but the boy ran off, leaving her to deal with Maleficent and help Prince Philip. From Maleficent she learned that Terra had somehow been responsible for Aurora's heart being released.

Next she arrived in a world called Radiant Garden, where she helped safe a little girl named Kairi with the help of Mickey Mouse. Before Kairi left with her grandmother, Aqua cast a protection spell on the girl, as she had such a strong light in her. A large Unversed then appeared, and she found both Terra and Ven ready to face off with it. The three of them took it down, but their reunion was quickly soured. Aqua confronted Terra about what he'd been doing on the worlds she'd been to in his wake. Accusing Aqua of spying on him, Terra took off, with Ven on his heels.

Searching for them, a masked boy called Vanitas appeared. Forced to fight, she managed to win. Ven appearing, she asked him once more to return to the Land of Departure, before continuing on her journey.

After visiting several more worlds, she was finally guided to a small island. There she met two boys. Two very important to plot boys, by the names of Sora and Riku. She recognized right away that Riku had been passed the ability to one day wield a keyblade, and decided right away that it was better that the boys never experience what she and Terra had. One keyblade for a friendship was enough. Instead she told Sora to protect Riku.

Leaving the island, she found Mickey in the Lanes Between, injured. Taking him back to Yen Sid at the Mysterious Tower, she learned that Master Eraqus was dead by Mastet Xehanort and Terra's hand. Not wanting to believe it could possibly be true, Aqua took off to the Keyblade Graveyard.

She did indeed find Terra there and she faced him about what had happened to their Master. Terra admitted that Xehanort had used him to strike Eraqus down. Ven then appeared and said that Xehanort wanted him and Vanitas to fight, to create something called a "X-Blade", that would plunge all worlds into darkness. To the two's shock, Ven asked them to 'put and end to him' if that was going to come to pass. They were unable to respond to this, as Xehanort and Vanitas made their appearance.

The five clashed, Terra finally going after Xehanort, while Aqua was forced to deal with another accomplice of Xehanort, a man called Braig. She had little trouble defeating him, but she was knocked out by Vanitas from above. She awoke in Mickey's arms. While she'd been knocked out, Vanitas and Ven had indeed merged and the X-blade had been created.

Fighting Vanitas, she used everything she had, gaining strength and light from her friendships to attack and crack the X-blade, which released a burst of energy, that was the last thing Aqua remembered.

Aqua then awoke back at the Mysterious Tower, where Mickey had brought her and Ven, but Ven would not wake up. She was told that his heart was asleep. (And in fact missing as well, in the end, off to a certain brown-haired boy.) Taking Ven from the castle, he, somehow, showed the way he wanted Aqua to go--back to the Land of Departure. Their home had been nearly destroyed by Xehanort.

Taking Master Eraqus' keyblade that was still laying where it had fallen, she brought Ven inside and did as Eraqus had instructed her, essentially locking the castle into a form that would protect the land and, as it were, Ven. She, in fact, created the castle that would one day be known as the Castle of Oblivion.

Feeling Ven was now in the safest place he could be, Aqua left to find what had become of Terra. She found him in Radiant Gardens, his hair now white. It was, however, not exactly Terra, as Xehanort had moved into Terra's body and had taken control. Aqua confronted him, demanding he return Terra's heart to him. While she was unable to win, she was able to stir Terra inside, who fought back against Xehanort. Wanting to be rid of Terra, Xehanort turned his keyblade on himself, plunging it into him. However, it did not seem to have the effect that Xehanort had wanted, as he fell unconscious and sunk into a hole into the Dark Realm. Without hesitation, Aqua plunged in after him. No matter how hard she tried, there was no chance she would be able to save them both, so made a decision. Releasing her armour, it held onto her friend as she placed her keyblade in his hands and sent Terra back to the Realm of Light. As the light vanished, Aqua fell down into the darkness, she apologized to Ven, as she now wouldn't make it back to him as soon as she though, but promised she'd be there to wake him up one day.

Aqua could not say exactly how long she'd been wandering the Realm of Darkness. A domain where time runs differently and hunger and sleep seem to mean nothing. All she knew was that she had been lost for a very, very long time. Finding herself on the Realm of Dark's side of the dark sea/dark margin/meridian/coastline, Aqua found a man dressed in a black coat. The man had lost much of his memory, but was able to tell her a little about the outside world--that a boy, wielding a keyblade, had once more saved all the worlds.

A boy named Sora.

Eventually Aqua would find her way out of the Realm of Darkness. Unsure of what world she was on, and seemingly no where else to go, Aqua would approach the domed structure in the distance.
