"We are very concerned about the perceived Brujah Hegemony within the Org. We also feel Dale dropped the Ball at the last Conclave. Although the Coordinator was there, the Brujah Justicar was the only sitting Justicar not in attendance. We also are concerned about the direction of the Brujah Clan and it's Justicar."

CAM COORD ISSUE! NOT BRUJAH GENRE COORD ISSUE! THE ARGUMENT SHOULD BE THE OTHER JUSTICARS WERE UNNESCESARY AND SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE!

I think this debate boils down to a difference of opinion. If St. Aug wants the Brujah Coord to do something about the "Brujah hegemony", they shouldn't vote for you. They might completely understand your reasoning, and still disagree with it.

The Brujah Coord can't do anything about the perception of "Brujah Hegemony." I can't command how Brujah players play their characters - the Brujah don't have a hierarchy for it. Similarly, I can't show up with NPCs and nuke Brujah just for being successful, because the STs wouldn't allow it, and I don't agree with that practice.

I'm really kind of powerless, and any hegemony, perceived or real, is the result of the direction of the players and individual chronicles. All I can do is make suggestions and hope someone agrees.

You actually can do quite a bit.

Thinking IC, if I were Pascek and I wanted to change this opinion, I would stop punishing Brujah quietly outside of the limelight.
The next time there was any issue with one of the Brujah Archons, I'd rake him across the coals. You are willing to punish them anyway, so the only change is to make it public.

It looks like the Justicar is protecting Brujah who mess up. You can do things to fix that.

I don't think I would go as far as setting up a Brujah just so I could punish him publicly (I think it would be OK for any Clan other than Brujah), but it is an option.

Publicly punishing Brujah who mess up isn't goiing to encourage Brujah to play screw-ups, rather than trying to gain personal and political power...

Being a fuck up gets you killed pretty quickly.

So unless we are going to start having people volunteer to play fuck ups for a few games until the local Prince/Primogen/ect get sick of them and banish/kill them, I don't see an answer.

And if we are going to start having there be an oppression of the clan just be prepared for a negative response(and the retribution for the dead clan mates). Personally I'm sick of all the hand holding kumba ya that occurs between all the clans. I wish people would really stick it to people once in awhile, but everyone is so afraid of losing their pc, their favorite NPC, or looking bad that they are afraid to take even calculated risks.

You know, there are many ways to punish someone without killing.

When I talk about keeping down the upstart Brujah, I mean stuff like keeping their Status low, social snubbing, and that sort of thing. We don't really kill PCs in GA, but we aren't afraid to lay down some harsh punishments.

The problem at least locally is, the Brujah clan is the most powerful if not the second most powerful clan in the city. We have a very strong leader, who doesn't like his clan mates being held down so they don't get held down because people fear him.

Why do people fear Var?

You state that he can't have it all...With him it's more of a matter of finding someone who would betray him. Thats the trick I think.

He's a fixture in the Domain. He's done everyone a favor at one time or another, and the fact that he's an old Brujah tells you whether or not people are afraid of him martially.
