hahahahaha, yes! Debates about the competency of the people running the organization are not secret things. Maybe if the *entirety* of the council list were publicly archived then people would shape up a bit.

In fact, I'd love to see that. Can we propose that? Split council into two lists. One of them is public and where the majority of discussion happens. The other is where only the "super-secret" stuff happens.

Another idea would be to just open up the full archives after three months... but that might include plot things that don't need to get out in general.

Unfortunately there are no archives on council to my knowledge...

Actually there are .... as a CM, you can even get to them. Admittedly, the first time, they can be a bitch to find. It involves following one of the links at the bottom of your Council e-mails ..... Jenn Bahrs might be able to give better instructions ....

Coord Responsibilities perpetuallysad December 4 2008, 05:54:01 UTC
I want to make my stance on this very very clear:

The organizational lists for OWbN are not only worthless, but they are generally counter-productive. Not being on certain lists could be the best thing that any person ever did for themselves and their ability to serve this organization.

The reason for this is simple: Some people suck ass [from your perspective] and you don't care what they have to say. Why waste time listening to each other in this case?

Someone piped up on Council asking the Coords that were re-running to chime in on their "lessons learned" regarding the Coord list and how they would change things.

I basically made a long and overly flowery commentary which basiclly said what you said - things become more productive when taken off-list.

Conclave perpetuallysad December 4 2008, 05:58:46 UTC
Nearly everybody managed to show up at this Conclave and make some sort of awesome happen and we're ass-raping the guy that didn't do it that way? How would this look on the other end, "Dale brought the sixth Justicar to this event and didn't even *prop*!!! How ridiculous is it that one game gets so many Justicars?" You old council hats may recognize that one.

The simple truth here is that the decision was calculated. Rather than calling Dale defensive [ despite the truth of it :-P ], there should be an attack on the logic of that decision and how Other Guy would do better [don't know who other guy is]. Until I see that, well who gives a shit? Drama Assaults just aren't valuable. Don't spend so much time destroying our confidence in one person rather than raising our confidence in somebody else.

That's the thing. The other guy isn't on council, has almost no org experience, and absolutely no Brujah experience. Kind of ridiculous.

It's okay, though, because I'm the debil for not a) killing Pompeii already, b) forcing the Brujah to be utter screw-ups so they have no perceived power, and c) not bringing my Justicar to an already full house, when it wasn't really necessary.

Really, who can argue with that logic? It's obvious that I'm a horrible, horrible person because I did what my application last year actually said I would do.

You hit the nail on the head, Dael. All the arguments against you lack cohesion. It is all about a personal grudge and everyone knows it.
