WHO: My name's Allison (in case the given name on my journal didn't clue you into that), and I'm a 22-year-old undergraduate student studying Foundation Year studies at Herron School of Art and Design at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Almost two years ago (!!!), I graduated from Cottey College, a very small women's liberal arts junior college in Nevada, Missouri, with an Associates of Art with a Studio Art emphasis. I'm a native Hoosier, born in Indianapolis and raised in a small commuter town that is close enough to be incorporated into Indianapolis proper courtesy of the urban sprawl. That being said, I'm possibly the worst Indiana native to date, with absolutely no opinion on the IU-Purdue rivalry, basketball, and car racing. However, I've quite the investment in the Indypendent movement, for obvious reasons.
WHAT: This is my character development journal! I've written in a roleplaying capacity for a long time (read: nine years), but this particular journal is going to categorize the characters that I've written since the end of my RPG hiatus roughly one year ago. Once upon a time, I roleplayed Harry Potter quite heavily, but with the end of Deathly Hallows and the start of my first (successful) foray into co-moderation, I've left this scene behind in lieu for games with original (and often pseudo-science fiction) concepts and superheroism, although you'll note a few exceptions in my roster. I'll mostly have the meat and potatoes of character applications, as well as scenes, journal entries, and character essays, in whatever entry about the characters, but if you want any character memes and the like that I consider to be "minor," I'll direct you over to my Insanejournal, which is used more for stalking people than anything else. Then again, so is this, so I don't know.
WHEN: For those who have had this journal friended for ages, including people who went to high school with me: surprise! I write a lot in my spare time! I've had keylimetruffle since sometime in 2003, when it had a wealth of embarrassing writing about how I was a Teenager with Feelings and all that other bullshit. In Spring 2007, I cleared out all that stuff and intended it to be more of a "O FANDOM IS COOL" journal, but that... failed. So, we have this! Hopefully, it'll stick.
WHERE: The first incarnation of my CDJ was at Greatestjournal until its implosion. Now, I don't know about you, but if this journal has existed for four years, I think it's pretty safe.
