It seems that ep with the kids is when most people fall in love with Lucas. It's strange.

Oh, I liked him before that episode. I actually fell in love with his character in the bathroom scene where he's cleaning up and he talks to Harry. I think the kid episode brought out amazing portrayal of him and a bit of softness. As you can tell from the others I picked I sort of like the heart wrenching ones. LOL

Yeah it was that scene that made me go straight to H&M and reserve him - this was a character I wanted to explore.

I rewatched the kid one recently, I did like the relationship they had, a lot. It added a lot of extra depth to Lucas.

It did add a lot of depth to Lucas. You saw that despite everything he'd gone through there was still a connection to humanity. A softer side to him even if it's rarely, if ever, shown. It's part of the reason why I loved Tom with Ellie and Maisie. You got to see that other side of them that you didn't when they worked the Grid. You saw the 'human' aspect rather than just the agent.
