Character: Sakura Kinomoto

Character Notes:
History: Sakura Kinomoto is a ten-year old grade schooler living in Tomoeda, Japan.
Her mother, a woman who had the power to see spirits, was a girl who quit school to start a modeling career and married her teacher, Sakura's father Fujimoto. Unfortunately, she passed away from illness when Sakura was three years old.
Her father, Fujimoto Kinomoto, is an archeology professor. He's very domestic and good at cleaning and cooking. He is revealed to be the half-reincarnation of the legendary sorcerer Clow Reed.
Her brother, Touya Kinomoto, had a certain amount of magical power including the abilities to see spirits and sense auras. He sacrificed his magical abilities to to save the life of his best friend/boyfriend Yukito.
Sakura attends the local elementary school, usually using her rollerblades. She usually wears her trademark colors, pink and white.
Even though she’s only ten, she’s very athletic in various sports, such as swimming and track. This is mostly inherited from her father, who was a track star during his high school days.
At the first day of a school year several years back, even though Sakura wasn’t new to the city, she met her cousin, Tomoyo Daidouji. She helped her by actually giving her new best friend an eraser, and that was the beginning of their friendship that would last a lifetime.
However, one day, when Sakura had cleanup duty, she went down into the basement, just to see if she needed to clean up the basement as well.
That is when Sakura sees The Clow.
The Clow is a special magic book that was created by the famous Chinese-Japanese magician, Clow Reed. It was placed in the basement for safety. In fact, Cerberus was the one who was supposed to protect the Clow from ever opening, but due to the power of Sakura’s magic, she was able to open it, thus releasing the seal.
The only thing that allowed all the cards to spread throughout Tomoeda was just one word that came out of the little Sakura’s lips. And that word was ‘Windy’, the name of the card that was placed on top of the deck.
When all the cards came out of the Clow, the guardian of the cards, Cereberus, who holds the symbol of the sun comes out of the book, but in his miniature form. Sakura then soon nicknames him 'Kero-chan', which he soon adopts as his name. Yue is also a guardian, but he, unlike Kero, is of the moon. He tests the candidate that is chosen by Cereberus.
So, Sakura begins the capture the Clow Cards, and soon enough, a transfer student that changes her life appears.
ENTER SYAORAN LI.
The transfer student is a distant relative of Clow Reed from his mother’s side, and he’s a member of the Li clan of sorcerers from Hong Kong. Clow’s mother was a member of this clan, and Syaoran at first believes that he should inherit the Clow Cards, not Sakura.
In the beginning, he’s the bad guy, the enemy, and he acts cold towards Sakura, even though he does help her capture the cards, for she is the only one who can actually seal them.
The truth is that the two of them even compete for the same guy, for the two of them are in love with Yukito. This competition lasts until Yue tells Syaoran that the only reason that Syaoran liked Yukito in the first place was because he was attracted to the power of the moon.
Syaoran doesn’t even say Sakura’s name, first or last until after she she becomes the new master of the Clow Cards.
Soon after Sakura becomes the master of the Clow Cards by believing in herself and in her friends, Syaoran starts to fall in love with Sakura. Even though there are a bunch of telltale signs in front of the girl, she is oblivious to them all until he finally confesses to her at the end.
That is when she realizes who the person just for her is. And you’re right, it is Syaoran.
Syaoran then leaves to Hong Kong, and this is when Sakura gives him the teddy bear that she made, telling him if he’ll ever return. Syaoran says that he will. Eventually.
And Sakura will wait for him.
Personality: Sakura is a sweet and kind person to almost everyone. She’s the stereotypical moe ten year old girl. In fact, she doesn’t like making/having any enemies or rivals at all. However, she loves making friends, so if you want to be her friend, all you really have to do is asks. Her invincibility spell is also one of her best and remembered quotes is, “Everything will be alright!” She also worries about everyone’s safety and doesn’t really mind her own.
Her biggest fear is ghosts, and if someone even mentions the word, she freaks out at once, going into a bunch of scrambled words.
When confused, Sakura usually says, “Hoe~?” in a confused yet cute voice.
Other: Sakura will be taken post Syaoran’s leave but before he returns a few years later. She has all the Sakura Cards (52; anime-verse - we’ll use those. With the exception of the card from movie two.)
