There's plenty of things he likes about being a vampire. Getting girls is really easy. His hair always looks good. He can eat crap food and still have ridiculous abs. The superstrength and super hearing is good too. And he'll have centuries to hang out with the wizard brother.

Basically, everything about being a vampire is awesome, except for that whole not-being-able-to-touch-the-woman-he-loves thing, and the gnawing hunger that doesn't care about people and reminds him he's a monster thing. Oh and the family. The family sucks balls.

Wow. I didn't expect a whole story about them. =o

The easier thing to say is the EBA hear anything with a spirit. People, animals, white blood cells, ghosts (You can't convince me they didn't hear Lucy's dad), and even certain supposedly inanimate objects like the toy soldier and monkey in OTO2. ... That last one can be debatable since the Ouendan cheered them, but I use very similar Music Sense idea for them, so uh... I go with it.
