Jenni Ognats weaved between buildings at a low altitude. Like her cousin Bart, she came from the future. There, she was known as XS. She was looking for a certain red-costumed hero.

<"If you don't quit writhing and complaining, I'm going to drop you. And it may or may not be on purpose."> she had to use both hands to keep a grip on Inertia ( Read more... )

<"Earth, you sprocking ignoramus."> Thaddeus said, still struggling to get loose. He was resonably certain that even if his sort-of-cousin dropped him, he could slow he fall enough that he wouldn't actually hurt himself. <"And by now, my lovely assistant is gnawing Bart to death. Just so you know.">

On his return trip from Gotham, Flash raced through mainstreet, static electricity following him along with a blaze of scarlet and gold.

The fresh, still polluted air was deeply missed. Even though he wasn't really gone for that long.

Catching sight of a blur or white and blue, he raised an eyebrow and headed in the opposite direction.

'The hell...?'

Easily catching up with the blurr, he grinned. "Lovely weather we're having, eh?"

"Look! I caught the bad guy! And like this one says, Bart needs help." Jenni reluctantly released Inertia.

<"What do you care about Bart?"> She was caught off guard. They had chased Inertia and Lillian all over the country. There must have been a good reason.

Flash's eyebrow raised slightly as he turned to XS. He remember her. Clear as day. I mean it wasn't TOO long since he and she crossed paths in time. "How's the Legion doing?" he asked casually, totally ignoring Thaddeus for the moment.

When she spoke, his attention was finally drawn to the boy in green.

He furrowed his brow. "What do you mean Bart needs help? What's wrong--?"
