1) I think cross-posting to LJ is a good idea - it allows people who mainly use LJ to get your science and society posts as well as other posts on our friends page, and besides, you're writing interesting stuff, and it makes sense to distribute it more widely among your blog readers.

2) The name is pretty awesome. I love nerdy puns.
