I just wanted to say a few words about this election, after everything else that's happened. The two speeches I heard tonight where incredible. McCain's concession speech was honestly one of the most amazing things I have heard in politics in a very long time. And if he actually follows though on his promise your Dad will NOT deploy to Iraq next year. Here's hopeing he's legit.

As I said in my journal, I voted for Kerry in 2004 because he was the lesser of the two evils. I voted for Obama in 2008 because I am optimistic and excited about his vision for the country. His speech was amazing.

I have to admit that as much as I respect McCain I did not vote for him. There is a difference between liking the man and liking his policies.

Same goes for Obama. To me he is an unknown quantity, so while I like what I have seen and he was the better candidate between the two, I will reserve my judgment on him until one year into his presidency.
