Now I remember why I'm here

Sep 26, 2007 18:06

Thank goodness for the days that you remind you what you're doing with your life and why!

I had registration again for the second year of college at AADA. Apparently I should be more nosy over the summer when people say they're "working". Came back to find out my friend Amanda is now being used as Eva Longoria's stunt double in Desperate Housewives ( Read more... )

Wow, sounds like a busy, but fun time for you. Your classes sound interesting (way better than the statistics and financial management ones I took in college, bleh).

And yeah, I remember my visit to Hollywood one spring break, even the gas station attendants were snotty. Goes with the territory, I guess. But how exciting that you'll be graduating so soon. And I'm sure you'll find awesome work. Just don't forget us little guys when you become famous. ;P

I can't wait to read your stories. My 3rd prompt fic is like 99% finished and...I left it on my flash drive at work! Wah! So, I have to wait until tomorrow to finish it. Jeez!

Anyway, glad to hear you're doing well and looking forward to reading your stuff when you get it done.

Lol. Well I'd never be able to do the classes you took in college, I'd be at a loss with them! I was going to stay in the UK and take English Lit and several others that I hadn't decided on. Kept bouncing between a few, but I'm glad that I got good grades behind me over there then took the choice to go to this school. It excites me to get up everyday and look at my schedule knowing there isn't one class I don't want to attend y'know

And if I ever became famous (ha! I'm clinging to the hope that I just get enough jobs to pay the rent!) believe me...I'll still be sitting in my 5 storey trailer still reading stories and leaving long winded comments ;)

Pity about leaving your prompt fic at work though. My heart raced in excitment at the first part of your sentence there. Shall look forward to reading it though!! x

Yeah, I could have kicked myself for leaving that stupid thing at work. But I was so excited to get home because I knew my SPN Companion Book 1 had been delivered and also my new personalized licensse plate for my car came in and I wanted to hurry home so I could put it on my car. My car now proudly sports the license plate reading: SUPNTRL \O/

I took pictures of it with my camera phone too, I just have to figure out how the heck to get them from my phone to my laptop so I can post them on my LJ page. Yeah, once again, foiled by my incredible lack of techie knowledge...sigh...

Hmm your phone doesn't happen to be one of those that has a memory stick in it does it? That's the only way I ever worked out how to load pics onto my computer. I've seen my friends sit and upload stuff onto facebook but I wouldn't have a clue! Shall keep my fingers crossed for you though.

Because let's be honest, that's a fantastic license plate. Lol.

lol. Glad you're excited about classes. I definitely have that impulses. My classes this term are semi-disappointing, but in "they're way too easy" way. SO, more time for fic-writing, I say, lol.

I don't think I would like living in LA, but I sometimes wish I didn't choose such a small town for college. I'm from Portland OR and love the city (especially MY city). Living in Madrid for a term made me realize how isolated things are here in the middle of MN, lol. Today was a beautiful day. I love Fall! It's my favorite season.

I have only a vauge idea what I'm doing for my prompt fics, but y'all be the first to know!

In some ways I'm sorry your classes are too easy, however I can't object to more fic-writing ( ... )

ficwriterjet is also a Portlander. I've only driven through LA, but I can assure you that Portland is a better city ;p You being lonely in LA makes me sad. Maybe you should move to Oregon!

Sorry about your work visa. That's brutal (but then again, you can tell your friend that its the ONLY reason you're not earing $5000 a day, lol *cough* *choke* are you KIDDING? OMG that's a lot of money.) What stunts are there on Desperate Housewives? I've seen it a couple times...

Going to Madrid was seriously fabulous. I absolutely loved it. I am very much a hang out in coffee shops and internet cafes and parks and go to museums and go out to dinner and occasionally go to a club (though they don't sleep! I'm done around 3am or earlier, but most people wait till 6 when the metro reopens) type of nerd. I also liked it because I could do lots of fun things without spending tons of money (unlike LA or London, lol).

You have a fic for me? *Begs adorably*
