Chapter Two

Slowly Sabretooth followed Essex through the door, and looked around the room. A bunch of tables were lined along the walls, with bodies tightly strapped down onto them using alloy and adamantium bands. What looked like giant incubation chambers were looming in the middle of the room. Metal flashed brightly hurting his sensitive eyes. Squinting against it, Creed turned his head to look over at Sinister.

Humming lightly to himself Sinister checked the IV’s in all of the mutants he had strapped to the tables. Pausing at Wolverine’s he chuckled then tapped the side of his face.

“Mr. Logan. I believe you’ll want to be awake for this.” Essex said watching the movement beneath Wolverine’s eyelids. Hearing the low growl escape Logan’s mouth Essex nodded to himself motioning Creed over. “Bring her here.”

Wolverine felt the drugs running through his system. His healing factor should have been taking care of that. Trying to shake himself awake he felt the band on his neck as well as the other bands holding him down. Where the flamin hell was he? He couldn’t smell anything either, which meant this was a power repressing collar. Of course, his claws weren’t a mutant power. Logan’s lips quirked slightly then frowned as he shot out his claws. Howling from the pain his eyes shot open and darted around the room. Hearing Logan’s howl, Jubilee shifted again and rolled her head toward where she heard the noise come from.

“Wolvie?” Jubilee spoke softly, her senses still muddled from the drug. She could tell it was Logan. Jubilation could tell him from miles away, but everything else kept shifting around her. Had Sinister given her another does when she was trying to get her bearings back in the room? “What’s going on?”

“You all right, Darlin’?” Logan ground out, staring daggers at Creed.

“Kinda dizzy. How bout you?” she asked trying to move out of Creed’s arms and over to him. “Put me down you overgrown house cat.”

Snarling Creed dropped her letting her land hard on the floor. Nausea swept through her and she felt her body fall the rest of the way backwards. Blinking as her head hit the floor with a loud thunk, Jubilee stared up at the wires in the ceiling for a few moments before trying to sit up. Shaking his head Essex put down the needle he had readied, and grabbed Jubilee by the arm lifting her to feet.

“Don’t damage her until after I am finished, Mr. Creed.” Sinister told him with a glare. Jubilee groaned trying to keep her head from pounding any louder. Slumping against him she turned her head and looked at Wolverine. Saying Logan didn’t look happy was a gross understatement right now. She smiled at him as her eyes gave a long blink. Leaving Jubilee as she is Essex turned and grabbed the needle plunging its contents in her neck. Crying out Jubilee jerked away leaning against Wolverine’s table.

“Say goodbye to your friend Child. You have places to go.”

Whatever he had given her was kicking in very quickly. Jubilee reached over and grabbed Wolverine’s hand as she slid bonelessly to the floor. He twisted his wrist and got a better grip on her keeping Jubilee from falling the entire way even it was just by her arm. He was so tired though, and Essex was bringing over another needle full of whatever he was using. Oh gods he didn’t even have enough energy to let his claws slide back in, they were going to rip through her arm.

“Bye, Wolvie.” Jubilee mumbled as her body gave fully to the drug. Slipping into a deep sleep she didn’t even hear Wolverine howl, or feel his claws slide against her arm ripping furrows along her wrist as she fell.
