“Do you not like this?”
The question startles Dongwoo; he's facing away from the door, and he'd last been aware of an empty room save for the company of his own breath and Jinyoung's marker in his hand that he'd borrowed for a recent fansign and never thought to return.
“Like what?”
He doesn't bother to turn because suddenly, Chansik's sitting beside him, copying his pose, leaning with him, front pressed against the back of the couch.
“This,” Chansik replies, waving his arms around and simultaneously losing his balance, hitting his chin against the windowsill. Dongwoo doesn't laugh. Chansik doesn't, either.
“To what are you referring?”
“Stop it,” Chansik says, looking up at him, and Dongwoo can't just ignore him, can't just pretend that he doesn't see Chansik anymore because corners of their gazes, spots here and there, have just met, and he's been pulled into a sort of limbo between simply closing his eyes and walking away, and bringing himself to face-

“No,” Jinyoung laughs, though it’s more of a nervous warble than a laugh. He turns to Dongwoo, who is desperately trying to keep the smug smile off of his face. “You do it, Dongwoo.”
Clearing his throat, Dongwoo shakes his head politely. “I can’t, my Lord. After all...” He gestures to the sad, wide-eyed frog sitting on the stool in front of them. “Chanshik said he needs the kiss of a royal.” Jinyoung smiles at him, forced and a little threatening.
“And why can’t father do it, again?” he grits out, clenching the arm rests of his chair.
“Your father won’t be back for another week,” Dongwoo says patiently, “and by then the spell will be permanent.” Jinyoung opens his mouth, but Dongwoo cuts his off, “Junghwan is Lord Sunwoo’s personal servant. You can’t just leave him be.”
“I can’t kiss a frog.” Jinyoung leans back, grimacing, and then leans forward again. “I’ll get a disease! A lethal one, probably!” The frog looks offended

Jonghun returns to the dorm one night, extremely late, with his hand bandaged. Hongki blinks at him from where he’s been sitting on the couch, listening to the demo of a new song he needs to memorize. He straightens up and pulls the headphones out of his ears

Jonghun moves his head until his lips touch Hongki’s jaw. Hongki tilts his jaw downward and the moment their lips touch, he freezes, forgetting what to do, how to breathe, how to remember, and then the moment is gone, and he’s catching Jonghun’s bottom lip between his own and slipping his tongue inside his mouth and then Jonghun’s hand finds its way behind Hongki’s neck and Hongki pushes him down onto the roof of the car and they don’t stop until they’re both laying side by side, shoulders touching, and gasping for breath

slightly cheating cos i'm including the snippet i wrote in the au thread, but oh well. :Dtaemin meets jinki on a friday night, at almost three in the morning. he's drunk by then, and a bit unfocused, but not so unfocused that he doesn't notice the young man sitting down at the bar next to him. he's still sweaty from being on stage and his hands look calloused from the guitar he's no doubt been playing for years and taemin thinks oh no, not another one. kibum steals glances at taemin more often than not, as if to seek inspiration, and taemin meets his eyes every time. his hands feel clammy, his heart is racing. kibum smirks at him and cocks an eyebrow; there's something so knowing about the way he stares at taemin, something cold and calculated and vicious and taemin is torn between a desire to get out of there and to get closer to kibum, grab him and pull him close and kiss him and let kibum's hands search out all those sensitive spots that jinki can never find and

taemin is good at balancing acts. he divides his time between jinki's apartment and kibum's tattoo shop and his own part time job. he smiles to jinki and lets kibum make him cry and aches because neither seems to be enough. he slips up once, crying in jinki's bed when jinki accidentally bites him too hard and cries even harder when jinki freaks out and feels guilty because of it.
it can't last, taemin thinks, because it's tearing him apart and he knows it, but he doesn't know how to choose or which life he wants to live
