Hyunsung never used to like being the person that people overlooked but he had gotten used to it over the years. It wasn't too bad, in that he was never the last picked for team sports and he didn't have too much trouble getting partners for projects, but he was also never the first choice. It didn't bother him too much, anyway, because he was content to observe people from his empty corner table in the cafeteria. That spot was a prime people-watching spot and Hyunsung usually had it to himself. Sometimes a senior, Donghyun, would join him, but Donghyun could never remember his name. At first, that kind of stung, but he got used to that too. It didn't matter anyway. Donghyun wasn't really a friend. He was just the guy who ate with him every few weeks ( ... )

Minho's going to die soon.

He knows this because that's what happens when you hear voices and you're the only person clinging to the side of the tiniest island on earth, hoping its shade will give you a few more hours of life. They may be horrible hours, but he wants them, and so he forces his eyes open and looks around.

Just the sea, as he expected.

Still he's disappointed. He rests his head against the rock. Small waves lick his chin and their salt stings the cracks in his lip.

Then the voices come back.

"They did leave another one!"

Minho wonders why his mind would torment him with such a whiny voice until he sees a pale, elfish face peering around the side of the rock. Another face joins it, expression blank.

"Go home. We don't want any more sacrifices."

That voice again. Minho shuts his eyes and decides he doesn't care if he's answering an illusion or not.

"It's a little too late for that."

it was a dark and stormy night and minho was a sailor who chose to sacrifice himself to the gods to save the crew (especially his friend jonghyun). he would have been at that rock for a day or two.

the whiny voice belongs to key. he works for the sea king and is training taemin, who was the other face. idk who the sea king is.

actually, idk where any of this came from, lol.
