Wow, three bedrooms? Okay, perhaps I am not that helpful about these things, lol. Still, I feel your pain. Or am trying to.

Three bedrooms, but no kitchen, no living room, etc. The only places to sit are the edge of the bed, the toilet and our two office chairs. We've made one of the bedrooms over into a pseudo-kitchen with the microwave and other small appliances, one of the bedrooms has our bed & clothes in it, and the third is our shared office. It's not so much that it's small as that it's...compacted.

Yeah, the space is going to be great. It's starting to be "real", now that the framing is in and stuff. Stop by sometime if you want the tour - if my car is out front, I'm home.

I've been through that kind f situation, only worse. That doesn't mean it isn't miserable, or frustrating, or exhausting. Hang in there. It really will get better, and you'll be ecstatic witht he results because the finished house will be yours

Now I just need to restart the quest for a place to live with Editrx and the cats in the DC area. And move out of the room I was renting in Arlington because I gave notice two weeks before the realtors sold the house out from under us.

Thanks for the good wishes and the offer. Something was helpful, because the guy who was supposed to move into my current room on October 1 wrote a rubber check to my landlord as a deposit, so I didn't have to move out over the weekend. Better (we hope) is that while my wife was down for the weekend, we both saw and have put down a security deposit on a beautifully restored bungalow in Mount Rainier. Now we can go back to just worrying about moving her and the cats south....
