The "potatoes on fire" image does come from a little one-strip comic I put together about a slightly real event. The funny thing being that I don't seem to have posted it anywhere.
I find that odd, 'cause on the odd occasions I do art I normally slap that puppy up online shortly thereafter.
Sometimes I like the idea of just leaving things ideas. In the end I'm certain that what-ever you come up with will be more interesting than what I come up with. Our own stories always are.
It used to vex some of my co-student-artists in University because I would make narrative art, give it a title and a line of text (that was my start-point for the picture), but never really tell them what it was about. I maintain that if people knew my real idea, they'd go "Oh, that's disappointing."
