The other day a co-worker asked me when I was going to get a yellow "baby on board" sign for the back of my car.

I told him I had no intention of doing so, as I expected people to run into me no more with a baby than with-out.

Perhaps my assumptions are wrong?

I do believe you've hit upon the single question that ought determine the suitability of a couple with a view to offspring. =:D

I've never quite fathomed those signs - what, someone was going to tailgate you for the next hundred miles, but seeing that, they'll maintain a sensible distance and not ram into you?

Although a variant involving bunny ears or tentacles might be worthwhile. =:)
