Note from alycewilson: For this week's topic on Idol Minor (therealljidol), KFP chose to do something from the point of view of his bedtime companion, Toby Monster, a very nice handknit monster who was my reward for placing in the Top 25 in a previous season of LJ Idol. Listening to the narrated version of this first was definitely a highlight. It helped me read this in the intended pace and "voice". You did a really solid job of that.

I also love the comic strip format you are using and the transition of panels.

I know this monster from when your Mom won him and know that the person who created him would love this story, and that Toby was still out there, telling the truth about monsters.

What a fun story! When I was a kid, I got a lot of pets, and always enjoyed reading about them, like Your Guide to Hamsters, or Your First Chinchilla. And this reminded me of those awesome books, like a guide to what monsters are really like, and what they eat and drink. I like fried fish too! Blueberry juice sounds delicious. Toby is so friendly, and I love that he wanted to give us a hug, too. Thanks for such an uplifting story! I really enjoy your drawings and narration too!

Love it KFP, very well done, the art helps make the excellent story pop off the page. I am a little disappointed that even monsters eat healthier than I do.
