Our little miss Tucker Cash got her lady parts nicked today. I think right now I'm feeling the closest thing possible to what a mother must feel. Such worry, and so much love.
I should probably post here more often. I think about it a lot, and then I don't follow through. But for all who don't know, Ian and I call a little rabbit part of our family ( Read more... )

I hope your vet gave you plenty of metacam. In three weeks, you'll have a totally more sociable rabbit who won't want to fuck or pee on everything in sight. Plus, the risk of reproductive cancers--common in unspayed females as they get into old age--is virtually eliminated. So it's really good all around. Congrats!

We did get some Metacam. In addition to a handful of other drugs. We've considered changing her name to Nancy- our own little junkie. She ended up getting dehydrated so we took an IV home too. She is doing much better now though! The funny thing is, the only characteristic that made us want to get her spayed is that she would get a little feisty every now and again. She never peed outside of her litter box, and to our knowledge never even tried to fuck anything. Our only real reasons were the future health issues. We are one lucky set of rabbit parents.
Thanks for the advice. Even with all the trauma that came along with this, I'm really glad we put the dollars down and did it.
I hope you've been well! I miss seeing you guys around!

Aw :) I'm glad you're giving a bunny such a nice, loving home. How is your new place? And what is your new job? The magazine gig or are you working elsewhere now? Till soon! - Simone
