Movies on Vacation
Among other activities, vacation has given me time to watch movies for the first time in months.
I finally watched The Green Mile - after having it from Netflix for 4 months. At this point I was almost literally watching it to be done with and continue with my queue. But actually I really enjoyed it. I didn't think that I would; I'm hit or miss ( Read more... ) -

Midterms are this week. I only have one myself (Macro), but I have some work to do for the undergrad class where I TA. I'm grading papers for the first time, which is actually kind of exciting, except that I'm already really busy, so my priority will be to just grade quickly ( Read more... ) -

One week until my first final of the quarter (Econometrics, followed quickly by Macro the next day). This next week is going to be intense. -

Success! Josh Groban will be performing in San Diego in August. I definitely plan to go. :) -
The King's Speech
I saw The King's Speech; just in time for the Oscars!
I liked it better than I thought I might - I never quite know what to expect from period pieces - but it's probably a strong 7 in my book, and not more. I'm still cheering for Black Swan at the Oscars, even if it's a longshot for Best Picture. -

Yay, today was a great day. Julie and Eric came to San Diego, and despite the rain that eventually came, our day was a great success.
