My mother is cleaning out her closets in preparation for our [slightly less than absolutely assured] move. She found a hat belonging to my father. It being a Crimson Tide hat, she, of course, knew to ask if I wanted it. It still smells of my father's shampoo ( Read more... )

not weird. when my aunt died, they decided her bedroom furniture was better than mine, and then proceeded to toss mine to the curb and replaced it with hers. I slept on the couch downstairs for months until they finally moved it. couldn't stand to be that close to the smell of her.

yeah, my grandparents' set is my spare room furniture, and it took me a good five years after my grandfather passed before i could spend the night in there.

Shampoo is more 'intimate'. It's a subtle enough smell that doesn't override a natural scent. -cuddle- Not crazy at all.
