Well, this time, the creature was awake. Before he'd been dreaming, muttering names that were not of people Ansem knew. He strode a few feet away, standing before the man who was still sitting in the coffin.

"Do you, then, enjoy sleeping in other people's basements?" He asked, trying to get a feel for things. The man was singularly good looking, with long hair and bright red eyes. Though, perhaps not as close to heartless as Ansem would have liked. Appearances could be deceiving, and this dark man was looking for something.

…at least his heart was.

Curious, Ansem inclined his head and waited. The body was strong, the heart… he would see.

"I wasn't planning on it," Vincent said, dryly, as he sat up. "Unless your basement is a vacationing spot." The long length of his hair startled and confused him as they touched his cheeks, feathering in long layers upon his shoulders and around his face. His hair had been short when he'd died, but things had changed--the way his body felt was different, and when he moved, it felt...more fluid ( ... )

Ansem smiled at the dry humor. He bowed, not low or sweeping, simply in greeting. "I am Ansem, and this is my home. I must admit, that I was quite shocked to have found a coffin here." He smiled, at least he wasn't bored at the moment. "The moment you think you've become accustomed to a living space."

Motioning to the stairs, Ansem took a step to the side to allow Vincent a view of the basement. "Perhaps you would like to take a look around? I admit to being quite curious about a grown man appearing out of nowhere in my basement."

He focused on Vincent for a moment, trying to ascertain the status of Vincent's heart. "Perhaps you are … looking for something?"
