His curiosity had peaked when he saw the bald man and the redhead walking towards his home, although the scotch kind of dulled any shock that might have occured when they knocked on the door. Perdita growled from her spot on the floor, and was given a pat on the head as he walked past her to greet the guests.
Setting the glass on the small table by the door, Rufus cautiously opened the heavy wooden door and looked at the two men. "May I help you, gentlemen?" he asked calmly, patiently. It was amazing what emotions you learned to hide in this profession...like annoyance that someone came to bother long after dark on a rainy night. At least he had something to concentrate on other than blocking out his father.

Explosions and gunfire didn't bother Reno. He was nearly inclined (hell, he'd already turned around - their new job be damned) to investigate when the large door opened behind him. Automatically he narrowed his eyes in slight annoyance and peeked back over his shoulder. When he realized who it was, though, he was quickly facing the right direction again.
"Yo," he greeted, grinning out of the corner of his mouth, "we're here about that ad in the paper."
Something fell down with a crash nearby, causing Reno to snap his head to the left. A can lid rolled away from the tipped trash can before lazily coming to a stop. He glanced to Rude, even if the taller man wasn't looking back, and casually drew his weapon from the back of his pants. After a moment, he looked back to Rufus with the same grin.
"We're the right guys for the job."
