OK, I don't normally trouble you guys with these kinds of observations, but Loki the dog just ate a cucumber. Which was coated with wasabi. He ate it with a great deal of relish and apparently that shit turns beta into alpha because he just pushed Senna off the couch and is now lolling next to me, trying to keep me from typing.

You know that bitter lime/bitter apple stuff you're supposed to spray on things you don't want your dog to chew? Our dog LOVED IT. She'd deliberately seek it out. A friend told us bitter lime is basically dognip for Labs, so at her advice we switched to Tabasco. Which she also loved.

At that point we just accepted that everything we owned would have holes in it for however long it took us to teach her not to chew stuff that wasn't hers.
