Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury

Fahrenheit 451 is a novel set in time where books are banished, and reading them is a punishable crime. Similar to Orwell's 1984 in many ways, but not in anyway comparable to it in terms of quality, Fahrenheit 45 sets an interesting - albeit exaggerated - view of what this world could be turning into with all what has been going on in the past few ( Read more... )

I read it, but yonks ago, so I can't remember much about it. Your complaints about the style ring bells, though.

I don't know why, but I think you're more likely to like such style than myself.

By the way; I have been reading A History of God (very slowly). I just started the part about Christianity a short while ago. I guess I have a lot to say about the book already, but it is going to take so long for me to finish it. It's kinda heavy reading for me.
