Well, mes chers, it's that time of year again. The red hearts bloom in shop windows, Tesco has perfume on special offer and you can't see for pink chocolate boxes, balloons and flowere arrangements that will surely go rotten between now and the 14th. I've always thought you were quite attractive. I find your 'I will never have/have never had a girlfriend' thing quite odd, considering how pretty you are.

I love the nonstop bubbling conversations we have, and I like how you think and how much you enjoy things, and how one can talk about *anything* with you. I like how upfront you are about the problems and challenges that you've faced, and I feel that lots of people benefit from how affectionate you are.

There are few things more wonderful than a smart, passionate, ethical activist-thinking person with a sense of humor and an obvious appreciation for the finer qualities of the human family. You seem like one of these people, and knowing London has a khalinche in it is a reassuring thought in these difficult times. [also: you are an anthropologist!]
