"I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end..."

What to say about Gerhardt? Hmm, well he certainly wasn't much to look at when he was born. In fact, I thought it was lame sauce that she had an orange kitten. Those are so cliche. ( .... )

I am really sorry Jenn. I kept hoping against hope that you were wrong about your suspicions. If he had you and Rob at the end then he was good. He had his wish. He is up with the other kitties in that meadow the poem talks about and he is free like Shelly.Love you.

Ugh! I told you that poem is bleh. I think you can blame that reaction on your mom. When poppa died i remember her going through sympathy cards and saying how much she hated those delightful metaphoric or utopian poems about those who passed on. She said she preferred the simple condolences -i dunno maybe because the other ones made her cry or because she didnt give a rip about them frolicking on the other side- she wanted him there ...happy, frolicking and with her.
Besides, Gerhardt hated being outside so a meadow is probably not his preferred spot :p

I am so very sad that he had to go at so young an age. I understand the bitter feelings and that is ok He has big shoulders and He can handle it.
I have done a lot of unloading on Him myself. So don't worry He doesn't
hold a grudge, and He will be there when you next need a hug from Him.
I am glad that I was able to be there for all the lovin and snugglin i got
to enjoy during my visit. Love You All.....Mom
