Eh, life's been hectic. I quit my job in early October, and then my dad crashed and passed away a week later. I've been trying to help my mom out with the random stuff thats been needing doing around here since then, and I'm enrolled in the spring semester at LSU in a pre-vet curriculum. I've also started working back at the company I dispatched/did logistics for, but as an independent contractor (allows me to work part to full time for roughly 150% the money, and with flexible hours... just gotta pay for my own vehicle maintenance/gas/not get traffic tickets/not get into wrecks

Yeah, I really ought to get on Facebook, I know. I came close. But there are just too many damn days wherein I really value being out of sight/out of mind to the various people I know. I'll probably break down and get an account in the spring.
I'm really sorry to hear about your dad, and really happy to hear that you're enrolling in pre-vet. How did you decide to do that? It's pretty different than your last degree.
Stuff here is sort of copacetic. I work in a new lab, writing computer simulations; hopefully I'll graduate someday. Moved back in with some housemates, changed most of my big life plans, quietly doing a lot of writing. I ran a marathon last weekend-- that was pretty insane. There was a lot of Elvis there.
Did your phone number change? On a whim I called you a few months ago, and I got a prerecorded message saying something about the number being out of service.
Technically, I'm in the pre-vet program, but I may change it to pre-med or some science field after this coming semester. I'm basically taking the core science classes I never took as an A&S major (physics, organic chem, etc). I'll probably end up with the overall Vet program, however, since that's actually what I originally setting myself up for, pre-college. I worked at a vet clinic for 2 years, I like animals a whole lot, etc, etc. But instead of going ahead and doing that 8 years ago, I went with psych. Then English. With anthro as an additional minor. Hooray for easy cross-disciplines in A&S
